Engagement Photos I The Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco

I photographed Lauren and Billy’s engagement session at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. I love engagement / couple sessions because it gives me a lot of creative space to play with fun and silly prompts and  maybe even a little bit of posing. You see, when I work with families, I lean more heavily on the family’s natural connection and curiosity in the environment with some fun prompts and guidelines sprinkled throughout. When working with couples or just one individual, I give a lot more direction. And it’s suuuuuper fun! Just fun in a different way from family sessions. Anyway, I digress.

Lauren and Billy’s engagement session at the Palace of Fine Arts holds a special place in my heart. They shared their love story with me and it really struck me because it was both romantic and relatable. Billy proposed to Lauren at the Palace of Fine Arts, so when Lauren reached out about a photography session, it was important to her that it took place there. I am super happy I was able to make their dream session come true!

Lauren and Billy, thank you so much for sharing your love story with me and trusting me to capture these special memories for you. You guys are a rad couple and I am honored that you chose me to be your photographer. I hope you enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites from your session!

I love a good blurred subject with the background in focus. 🙂
The above image, while simple, might be my favorite from their session. It is so peaceful and sweet.
So many great black and white image from this session.
It’s always fun to grab at least one hipster photo. 😉
This image is another one of my favorites! The look in Billy’s eyes says it all.
Another favorite! Blurred “subject” with the flowers in focus. LOVE!
Love these details and the blanket they brought was BEAutiful! So perfect.
Of course I had them do some silly things. 🙂 That’s one super fun part about being a photographer.

Don’t forget to leave these two some love in the comments below!! <3
