Sunset Family Photo Session at Rodeo Beach

A family photo session at Rodeo Beach is always a good idea! I’ve had a couple different sessions there now and it never disappoints. It’s such a large beach and there are a handful of spots you can walk to easily that give you a nice variety of images for your gallery. I was stoked when Caitlin said they would like to do their session there!

Caitlin and Bryan are a thoughtful, sweet, and easy going couple. They’re Bay Area natives, so they know the area well and even ran into a few people they knew during our session. I love meeting people that grew up in the Bay Area. I’m always curious to hear their perspective on how things have changed throughout their lifetime and thank them for warmly welcoming transplants like me. 🙂 Their son, Owen, is an extremely adorable and smiley baby. Just see for yourself, below!

Honestly, their entire session was a breeze. Rodeo Beach is such an easy and beautiful location that offers multiple backdrops, and they were naturals in front of my camera lens. We did the usual – walked around, shared kisses and cuddles, snuggled, and then Owen enjoyed a bottle at the very end. I love it when families are down to sit or lay on the ground as you can get different, unique perspectives for their images. I’m absolutely in love with their entire gallery, but I’ll just share a few of my favorites here.

Caitlin, Bryan, and Owen: Thank you so much for letting me capture these darling images of your family! I had such a splendid time getting to work with you.

I love beginning sessions in the tall grasses near the parking lot.
Then we walked partway up the path to get some views from above. It was a beautiful overcast day. I love days like this!
Isn’t Owen just the cutest smiley baby you ever did see?
They started to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider to Owen. 🙂
I got so lucky with this photo! I snapped it right away (and thankfully just at the right second) because Owen immediately was like, “Nope! I’m NOT laying down here.” Sometimes you only need a split second. 🙂
Sweet, sweet boy in his little green puffy coat. LOVE!
