2023 Holiday Gift Guide

I’m super excited for today’s article because this is the first time I’ve ever done this. If you’re anything like me, the stress of gift-giving can be all too familiar, often leading to last minute gifts for your loved ones. As the holiday season approaches, now is the perfect time to put some thought into your gift-giving strategy. With Black Friday quickly approaching (and an exciting print sale happening in my online galleries), I’m excited to share with you some of my favorite print product recommendations that are perfect for gift-giving this holiday season. • Print packs – Print packs are a delightful way to share and display your loved one’s treasured memories. I personally love ordering print packs for myself because then I have a variety of photos that I can switch out of frames periodically. One way to elevate this gift would be to deliver it in a high quality photo storage case. There are SO many cute options on Etsy. Some of my favorites include:

• Deckled prints – Deckled prints are my absolute favorite prints and I truly believe they should be displayed in a frame (see below). With hand-torn edges and timeless elegance, these prints are truly an heirloom gift of the highest quality. Order 10-20 and give them as a print pack!

• Matted & framed Deckled prints – Elevate the beauty of memories with matted and framed deckled prints. These prints come complete with an elegant mat and frame of your choice, turning images into enchanting pieces of artwork for the home. If going this route, I recommend going big! Order an image no smaller than 8×10 and choose a unique mat and frame that pairs beautifully with the artful memory.

• Float Frames – Personally I find float frames so modern and chic! These frames give the illusion of photographs floating in mid-air within, adding depth and dimension to the images. They truly are a great piece of artwork for any home.

• Framed circular deckled prints – This print product is truly one of a kind! Much like the matted and framed deckled print, this unique circular print radiates timeless and classic charm. The circular cut mat elegantly highlights hand-torn deckled edges, vivid colors, and exquisite details, all artfully encased within a square wooden frame that’s ready for easy hanging. This piece is a genuine showstopper and will surely command attention in any home.

• Albums – Fine Art Albums are always a fantastic gift that will keep giving for generations to come! • Metal prints – Metal prints are becoming more and more popular these days. With a waterproof and weatherproof surface, metal prints are a contemporary and vibrant way to showcase photos. In addition to these printed products, I thought it would be fun to share a small handful of other items that I personally use and love, in an effort to inspire you further in your gift-giving endeavors this holiday season!

If you can’t already tell, I’m not a huge shopper. I lean towards second-hand finds and invest my money on experiences (and, of course, delicious food!) rather than products. So, the items I share below are real MVP’s – stuff I actually adore and repeatedly make use of.

• Leaf shave razor – Ditch the plastic razors and give this epic, all metal razor to your sister, mother, or bff now! Seriously, it’s the best razor I’ve ever owned and it works better than those plastic disposable razors companies want us to buy over and over and over. Whoever is on the receiving end of this gift will be thrilled because this will be the last razor they ever own. Bonus: it’s beautiful!

• LARQ Bottle Pure Vis – Take clean water with you everywhere you go with this brilliantly designed water bottle. It self cleans your drinking water with a touch of a button so you can rest assured your tap water is not only clean, but that it also tastes good! My partner and I just ordered one to bring with us to Mexico this December. We’re so excited to use it considering all the single use plastic bottles we’ll keep from going into landfill!

• Chelsea Boots – I finally got my own pair of black Chelsea boots! They’re great for everything – long walks through the city, photographing a wedding, or trekking through the woods for a family session! They’re stylish, comfy, and waterproof! I’m so stoked I finally have my own pair. You can get them from a lot of different companies, not just Sorel! But this is the pair I own and I dig it.

• Fluffy Prana Snap Up – This was kind of an impulse buy, not going to lie. But I fell in love with it immediately and that’s always a tell-sign that it’s a good purchase for me. Not only is it funky and stylish but it’s super soft and cozy (great for SF weather)! I can’t wait to wear this on the slopes for some spring skiing!

The following three products are all from Beauty Care Naturals. I love trying different skin care lines but I find myself coming back to these products time and time again!

• Alternative Retinol Bakuchiol Renewal Serum – I’ve been using this serum for a couple months now and have definitely noticed  a difference in my skin! This product helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and leaves my skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated. I love the plant-based retinol serum because it’s super gentle and doesn’t have any of the negative side-effects other retinol serums have. Trust me, I have super sensitive skin and it truly doesn’t bother me at all! I can even use it twice a day, though I typically just put it on before bed.

• Skin Food Classic Skin Care Set – This is a fantastic skin care set made with all natural and organic ingredients. It’s also fun because you get to sample a bunch of different products from Beauty Care Naturals. (Can you tell I like their products? Haha!)

• Glow Serum Highlight – This dewy serum is my absolute favorite! I hardly ever wear makeup and love that this serum doesn’t look heavy on my skin. It’s kind of like liquid bronzer but more gold colored. You can mix it in with your sunscreen, foundation, or simply add a touch by itself (which is what I do). It highlights your skin, making it look soft and dewy, but without the heaviness of caked makeup. It also protects against UV rays which is so helpful for me because I come from an Irish family and have to work hard to protect my skin against the sun! I don’t recommend using it in place of sunscreen, but it still feels good knowing it’s an extra layer of protection.
