Amy and Guyton’s Mt Tam wedding at Nature Friends Tourist Club in Marin County, CA was breathtaking! Mount Tamalpais never disappoints when it comes to beautiful views, and this wedding day was absolutely stunning. Guyton and Amy just so happen to be members of the Nature Friends Tourist Club, so they were able to have their wedding here at the lodge, and it was truly the perfect location for their wedding celebration with their closest friends and family! The alpine lodge itself is over 110 years old and really just added the perfect outdoorsy rustic feel to their Mt Tam wedding surrounded by the beautiful outdoors.
The day started with Amy getting ready and she looked absolutely stunning in her dress! When she walked down the lodge stairs to meet Guyton, you could tell he was in awe of his soon to be wife! I loved capturing his reaction to seeing her. The hike down to the club was extremely steep and long, so they had a shuttle take their guests up and down. Their ceremony was breathtakingly beautiful and everyone was so incredibly happy to be present and celebrating the union of these two beautiful souls. I especially loved their walk back down the aisle when their guests blew bubbles in celebration!
Afterwards they mingled for a bit and exchanged hugs and congratulations, and then we snuck away for more portraits of the two as they were surrounded by the outdoor beauty that is Mt Tam! There’s just something about getting married out in the woods and the peaceful atmosphere here. Their reception was also beautiful! They had catering from Don Julio and it was delicious. The speeches were full of love, and the outdoor reception space on the deck of the lodge was the perfect size. Everyone had a wonderful time and the sunset on Mt Tam was incredible! It was just an all around great celebration with great people, and it was such an honor to document Guyton and Amy’s Mt Tam wedding at Nature Friends Tourist Club!
Planning your own wedding in the Bay Area or Marin County? I would love to document your special day as well! Unless you’re a member of Nature Friends Tourist Club, you cannot have your wedding at this location. With that being said, there is a club in the East Bay known as Oakland Nature Friends, and they will allow weddings there! Or you could consider Mountain Home Inn if you’re looking to have a Mt Tam wedding. Either way, I would love to document your wedding day! Feel free to learn more about me. If I sound like the perfect Bay Area wedding photographer for you, then inquire with me. In the meantime, check out more weddings on the blog for inspiration!
