Beach Maternity Photos I San Francisco

Erin, Matthew, and their super cute English bulldog, Kiela, met me before sunset at Fort Funston in San Francisco for their maternity and family photo session. The weather could not have been more perfect this time of year. We could have dealt with wind, fog, or rain, but we were blessed with a warm and sunny evening along the coast. Erin and Matthew were naturals in front of the camera and beyond lovely to work with. They were sweet, laid back, and adventurous – a trifecta when working with new clients!

We meandered along the coast, up and over sand dunes while taking in the ocean views. (Having not grown up near the ocean, I feel so lucky to be this close.) We kept a slow and steady pace for Kiela, who, after the first hour and a half, decided she wanted to rest in the car for the remainder of the session. Despite the weekend crowds, there was still plenty of space that allowed for private photos. Some of my favorite images from their session were near the very end when the sun was about to dip below the horizon. Erin is wearing a fabulous green dress (that went so perfectly with our location setting) and California’s coastline sits in the background. The only way the session could have been better was if there had been more birds in the sky because, you know, birds make every image better. 🙂 I am always impressed by the epic nature you can find in and around San Francisco and this location was perfect for their maternity session.

I hope you love these photos as much as I do. Be sure to leave some love for this beautiful family in the comments below.

This is when Kiela decided to tap out. 😀

We had to grab just a few more pics of Kiela at the very end! I just can’t get enough of that face!! <3
