Kaitlin’s Glowy Maternity Session

I have known Kaitlin and Matt for over four years now. They are among the first few people I got to know after moving to California. I actually captured their holiday/pregnancy announcement photos last year! (Unfortunately I wasn’t blogging consistently at that time so I don’t have a post to share, but I’ll be sure to include a few of those photos in the bottom of this post as well. You will have to scroll to the very bottom to see them!)

We met at the Cypress Tunnel in Inverness the day after Mother’s Day. I had never taken photos at this location before. I have wanted to but it’s always SO busy! Especially on weekends. However, I am so happy Kaitlin suggested this location and for us to schedule it for the day after Mother’s Day (that was a Monday). There was almost no one there and plenty of space for us to work around those that were.

Matt and Kaitlin brought their pup, Gizmo, for a few photos at the beginning. We then walked up and down the tunnel looking for beautiful light. I would absolutely LOVE to have more sessions at this location or just in the general Point Reyes National Seashore area. The rolling hills mixed with wildflowers and fog that rolls in and out is absolutely stunning. It’s also super easy to drive to 2 or 3 different locations throughout the session which is exactly what we did!

After we finished at the Cypress tunnel, we hopped in our vehicles and headed to Point Reyes Station. There’s a gorgeous white barn I have wanted to use for a photo session and it made for the perfect second location up in Point Reyes. Yet another spot I wouldn’t mind frequenting. *hint, hint, nudge, nudge*

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do! I’m extremely happy with these locations and super excited to explore more!

Warmly,

Skyler

As promised, here are just a *few* of the images from my session with Matt and Kaitlin last year. This was for their holiday & pregnancy announcement card. This is also one of my absolute FAVORITE locations to photograph people because you can begin in the redwoods and then hop right over to an open field for two different locations. I’m thinking of offering mini sessions here in the fall. What do you think?

If you made it this far, would you please do me a favor and leave these two some love in the comments? 🙂 <3
