Baby Shower + Maternity Photos at Filoli Historic House & Garden

I’m really excited to share this session with you today because it’s a little different from what I normally do. You see, my client and mama-to-be, Priyama, was already planning to have a beautiful baby shower at Filoli Historic House & Garden. But in addition to the shower celebration, it was really important for her to document some special images of just her and her husband, Parijat, to celebrate their growing family! So we decided to do both. 🙂 In addition to documenting her gorgeous baby shower celebration surrounded by friends and family, we ended their session with beautiful maternity photos around Filoli Historic House & Garden.

I met Priyama and Parijat in the early afternoon at the Vegetable Garden at Filoli Historic House & Garden which was the location they had reserved for their baby shower. The weather was warm and sunny and the space was beautifully decorated, complete with hot food, cupcakes, and full bar. They even had a little photo booth area set up for group photos. It was so easy to see how much their guests loved the whole experience. And to top it off, they ended their sweet celebration with a fun cake-cutting!

Located in Woodside, CA, Filoli Historic House and Garden is a lovely and unique photo location for any type of session! It’s more manicured than most of the locations I typically work with, but I really love the variety of flora within the space which provides a diverse range of images for your gallery. Of course, you’ll have to work around other guests, and certain times of the year can get quite busy. But the space is so large that it’s easy to find nooks and crannies just to yourself. 🙂 If you’re considering maternity photos at Filoli Historic House & Garden, it’s a beautiful spot to document this special time.

The entrance fee ranges between $24 – $34 per person, depending on the time of year. Thankfully, they do not require an additional fee for photography!
